Do you take insurance?  At this time Dr. Sanders accepts BCBS; Cigna; Aetna and Magellan. However, you may be able to use your out of network benefits if you have a different insurance provider.

Do you work with children/adolescents?  Yes, we do!

Can a family member/friend be in the room when I am getting an evaluation done?  Unfortunately, we cannot have others in the room with the examiner and test proctor because we need to maintain a controlled environment that will give us the most valid and reliable test results.

Can you send my results to my school/doctor/lawyer/etc.?  Yes, but we need you to fill out a Release of Records Form that gives us permission to send the results to where you would like it to go.

How long will my appointment take?  This depends on the type of evaluation and is flexible based on the individual being tested.  We recommend 3 hours for a psychological evaluation, learning disability assessment or autism assessment.  However, if a neuropsychological evaluation is being done, then it takes approximately 5 hours.  Therapy sessions and biofeedback sessions will take 45 minutes to one hour.  However, please be aware that times for evaluations may be longer or shorter based on the individual.

Can I bring food or a drink to my appointment?  Absolutely!  We want you to be comfortable and recognize that due to the amount of time it takes to complete an evaluation a snack and drink are more than appropriate.

Can I schedule a therapy appointment in the evenings?  Yes, this is possible depending upon the therapist you are seeing.

Does Dr. Sanders prescribe medication?  No, he is a psychologist and does not prescribe medication.  You will need to contact a psychiatrist or your general physician depending on what medication is needed.

What should I bring to my appointment?  Please bring a list of all current medications that you are taking.  In addition, we will gather background information.   If you have difficulty filling out paperwork or providing background information, please bring a family member or friend that can assist you.  If this is not possible, please let us know.   We can provide you the background information prior to your appointment so that you can bring the completed paperwork with you.  In addition, if you need glasses/contacts/hearing aids, please make sure you bring them to your appointment.
